Jeanneau Boat Build Quality
We have a jeanneau (and due to the aforemetioned press) looked at getting another "older" boat. what i can tell you is this. 1. the jeanneau build quality is as good if not better than those others that we saw. 2. her stowage capacity is better. 3. she has more "living space". 4. she is brighter and lighter down below. 5.. We want a new shallow draft boat to take through the french canals or possibly biscay, then spend a couple of years cruising the med. our budget is 140-160k and have narrowed it down to a hanse 385/ hanse 400 or a jeanneau 409. i heard some bad things about jeanneau build quality over the last few years.. Not a big fan of the iron keel, but on the whole i'm very happy with the boat's build quality and performance. before buying this boat i looked at other comparable cruising boats like bene, catalina, bavaria, hanse, c&c etc. imho jeanneau is a better built boat than any of these..
